I have a Ubuntu guest image running in VMWare Fusion on my Macbook.
In Ubuntu, I run "unison -repeat watch ~/local /mnt/hgfs/host", trying to sync two directories in the guest OS. One of the directories, ~/local, is a local folder in Ubuntu. The other directory, /mnt/hgfs/host, is a host OS shared folder. The folder is mounted in Ubuntu as a vmhgfs-fuse file system.
I found that while unison, in start up, can sync these 2 folders, and it can sync any changes in local folder very quickly to host folder, changes in host folder cannot be synced back into the local folder. Seems like the file watcher cannot detect changes in the host folder.
Is it because of the vmhgfs-fuse file system? Or did I do anything wrong?
Thanks,
Ke
