Hello!

I am using Unison for some years now, first to sync data from Linux to Mac now from Mac to Mac, and I love it! Thank you very much for this useful tool!

Today I was trying to install the program on a new MacBook. I tried to install one of the precompiled binaries as I did before but when I click on the bottom "Download binaries" it says:

"This page has moved to https://unison-binaries.inria.fr/ https://unison-binaries.inria.fr/."

and nothing happens. Seems like the link is dead. Is this only a problem I have? does this link work for other people?

Thank you for an answer!

Martin

Thanks for the heads up. I'll investigate why the page is no longer
working, but it has another address that works:
http://unison-binaries.gforge.inria.fr/

I would recommend in the future to use the github releases page:
https://github.com/bcpierce00/unison/releases

Benjamin: should we change the link in the web page to point to github
(https://alliance.seas.upenn.edu/~bcpierce/cgi-bin/unison.cgi?BUTTON=Download+binaries)?
And should I also remove the unison-binaries site?

Best,

Alan

I looked into it and the page cannot be served under https, only under
http. The page is available at http://unison-binaries.inria.fr/

Are there binaries there that are still useful to people? And if so, would it be easy to move them to github so people can still find them?

I added all the binaries since 2.40 on github page, hence the one that
are not there are 2.27 (10 years old) and 2.32 (9 years old). Do we care
about them?

Probably not.
